Shelley - Annie Whitaker - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Mrs. Annie Whitaker Shelley was 80 years and two weeks old at the time of her death, which came to her on Friday, April 20. She suffered terribly but bore it patiently. She told them that she didn’t want to get well; that she was just waiting for the Lord to call her home. She was a member of the Old School Baptist Church. She told the children what songs she desired sung and who she wanted to preach her funeral. The funeral took place last Sunday at the Baptist Church conducted by Elder Miller, of Waynetown, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Potts Cemetery. She leaves three sons, one daughter and a host of friends and relatives to mourn her loss. -s
